Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Simply grab your current read, open to a random page, and share a couple of “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page . . . just be careful not to include any spoilers!
My teaser this week comes from Page 32 of An expanded love by Jacqueline Applebee:
I became Polyamorous at exactly eight-thirty-two that very same evening during the disco; I danced to an old rock track I remembered from school. The music distracted me from the task I'd fallen into during the course of the day - counting the number of corsets that the attendees wore. I'd reached sixteen before I started to get confused.
So far, this has been a delightful read. A story about one woman's introduction to Poly relationships, it's wonderfully insightful, romantic, and incredibly . . . well, just very open and inviting. I'm anxious to see how relationships develop, especially knowing there's a Pagan synchronised swimmer, a cookery-obsessed boyfriend, a crossdressing child, and a moody ex-boyfriend still to be thrown into the mix!
So, how about it? Are you feeling teased? :)
