It's time for another Book Blogger Hop, courtesy of Crazy for Books!
It's also time for the Friday Follow, courtesy of Parajunkee's View!
Q. Let's step away from besties...What is the worst book that you've ever read and actually finished?
A. Wow, tough question, but I'd have to go with The Last Battle (The Chronicles of Narnia, Book 7). I thoroughly enjoyed the series up to that point, despite being bashed over the head with the Christian allegory, but the ending just left me disgusted.
As always, I urge you to hop around to some new blogs, tag along with some new friends, and find some great new reviews to follow. I always find something new to delight me!

I hated the ending to Narnia too. Felt like such a let down. I'm already a follower. My Friday Follow
ReplyDeleteI avoided The Last Battle when I was a kid because I sort of knew what happened. When I read/re-read them all a few years back I just found that one impossibly boring. I fully approve choosing it as a worst.

Possibly of interest: My old review of Narnia
New follower. I haven't read the Nani series yeat but I like the movies. I'll have to get into the books one day, by I hate to be disappointed by the ending. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteI agree wholeheartedly! I just pretend that book wasn't written and make up my own ending after The Silver Chair. :P

The Last Battle was okay for me, though I don't like it as much as the predecessors.

Hey Sally, thanks for stopping by my FF. I have a love/hate relationship with the Narnia books too. Luckily the movies have been pretty good.

ReplyDeleteCruising on by with the 18 & Over.
ReplyDeleteNever tried the Narnia books. I did see the first movie, which I am sure if it is like most movies it is nothing like the book. I enjoyed the movie though.

Hi,
ReplyDeleteI hate to admit that I've never finished the Narnia series. It was competing with Lord of the Rings when I was reading it and LOTR won out. Well, I guess I wasn't missing much when it comes to its conclusion.
