Spurned by a bitter father with political ambitions, manipulated by an uncle s strange, unwavering love, and left to fend for herself by a mother too soft spoken to intervene, Butterfly is forced to survive the cold, unforgiving streets to earn a living. After mastering a few quick money making schemes, Butterfly enjoys a brief moment of glitter and romance until her gender is called into question and a cold heaping tray of revenge gets slammed in her half truth telling face. This single instance sends her troubled life tumbling out of control until she runs into Atwater, the perfect man with the perfect plan that will stabilize her otherwise twisted world. The daring mission her dream guy forces her to undertake to acquire power and wealth beyond her imagination will usher in what s for sure to be a developing storm that neither of them can escape.

ReplyDeleteThis cover reminds me of graphics used in the early '80s. I absolutely love it, and the story sounds intriguing. I'll have to TBR it.
