NEWS: The Dark Wife by Sarah Diemer (now available)

The Dark Wife by Sarah Diemer is a book I'm very excited about, and one that I've been anxiously awaiting for the last few months. Although written to appeal primarily to the YA crowd, this is a novel with serious appeal to all age groups.

A lesbian revisionist retelling of the Persephone and Hades myth, The Dark Wife is notable for the fact that there is absolutely no issue with Persephone's love for other girls - this is not a book about a bigger issue like coming out, bullying, etc. Instead, it's a mythological retelling, featuring a main character who happens to be a lesbian.

To help celebrate the launch, Sarah is hosting a book giveaway at her blog (http://www.muserising.com/)! Since she is an independent author, word of mouth is absolutely key to her success. Tweet about her book, blog about it, or mention it on Facebook, and then leave a comment on her blog with the link to be entered into a fantastic draw for the following:

  • A print copy of The Dark Wife
  • A labradorite necklace made by Sarah (a copy of the one that Hades gives to Persephone in the book)
  • A sample vial of The Dark Wife perfume oil made for Sarah by The Misery/Love Co.

Sarah will be drawing a winner on May 24th, so please be sure to stop by and spread the word today!
