"Waiting On" Wednesday:

"Waiting On" Wednesday spotlights upcoming releases that everyone's excited about (created by Jill at Breaking The Spine.)

Maestro's Maker: A Ravenous Romance by Rhonda Leigh Jones:
Maestro's Maker: A Ravenous Romance (Ravenous Romances)When she discovers a beautiful and arrogant French noble in the hold of her master's ship, vampire Chloe de la Roche musters the courage to escape her maker, the pirate vampire Gunnar. Only after turning the man who will become Claudio du Fresne and his oldest friend Francois Villaforte into vampires, to help them escape, does Chloe begin to discover the darkness that binds the two men together. But by then it is too late, and she is trapped between the man who teaches her love through punishment and the man who seeks to use these same methods to subdue her so that he may have the man Chloe loves to himself. With danger, intrigue, and kinky sex, Maestro's Maker takes vampire erotica to passionate new levels!

Finding the Way and Other Tales of Valdemar  by Mercedes Lackey
In March 1987, a young author from Oklahoma published her first novel, Arrows of the Queen. This modest book about a magical land called Valdemar was the beginning of a fantasy masterwork series that would span decades and include more than two dozen titles. Now readers can take a journey to the world of Valdemar-including Tanya Huff, Mickey Zucker Reichert, Fiona Patton, and Judith Tarr-each adding their own special touches.

Pleasure Bound by Opal Carew
Pleasure BoundTy is a master of domination, but after a bad experience, he's decided to leave his old lifestyle behind. When he falls in love with Marie, he plans to handle her with kid gloves. Unfortunately, Marie wants hot S & M sex and thinks Ty is too nice of a guy to be the overpowering Dominant she dreams of. When Ty's old friend Zeke enters the scene, he's more than happy to give Marie exactly what she wants. But when Zeke starts to experience feelings for Ty that he has never allowed to surface before, it could push all three of them to the edge...

Granted, this week's final entry has nothing 'alternative' to recommend it, but I absolutely love this series. What can I say - you just can't take the 'geek' out of the 'girl' (and I wouldn't have it any other way!). Anyway, I was HUGELY excited to find it available on Amazon this month as an e-book since we're not getting the actual paper copy in North America until May. Now, if only they do the same for The Crippled God, I'll be one very happy girl!

Stoneweilder by Ian C. Esslemont
StonewielderGreymane believed he’d outrun his past. With his school for swordsmanship in Falar, he was looking forward to a quiet life, although his colleague Kyle wasn’t as enamoured with life outside the mercenary company, the Crimson Guard. However, it seems it is not so easy for an ex-Fist of the Malazan Empire to disappear, especially one under sentence of death from that same Empire. For there is a new Emperor on the throne of Malaz, and he is dwelling on the ignominy that is the Empire’s failed invasion of the Korel subcontinent. In the vaults beneath Unta, the Imperial capital, lie the answers to that disaster. And out of this buried history surfaces the name Stonewielder. In Korel, Lord Protector Hiam, commander of the Stormguard, faces the potential annihilation of all that he holds dear. With few remaining men and a crumbling stone wall that has seen better days, he confronts an ancient enemy: the sea-borne Stormriders have returned. Religious war also threatens these lands. The cult of the Blessed Lady, which had stood firm against the Riders for millennia, now seeks to eradicate its rivals. And as chaos looms, a local magistrate investigating a series of murders suddenly finds himself at the heart of a far more ancient and terrifying crime – one that has tainted an entire land.... Stonewielder is an enthralling new chapter in the epic story of a thrillingly imagined world.

Happy Reading!
