Freebie Fiction Friday - Putting the TG in TGIF!

Well, if it's Friday, then that must been it's time for Freebie Fiction Friday . . . time to put the 'TG' in TGIF (and the 'FD' in Friday)!

Every Friday I take the initiative to search through thew newly free titles on Amazon, and to identify those that might be of interest to trans* readers, fans, and lovers. Even if you don't have a Kindle, you can still download the titles through one of Amazon's free reading applications, and covert it (if need be) with Calibre. I can tell you I do most of my reading on my tablet, using Kindle for PC, and it works beautifully.

Please do be sure to check the price before downloading anything, though, as most freebies are limited time offers, and some are specific to certain regions.

Enjoy!

Thirds: A Leather and Lace Collection by J.B. Rogers (#bi #cuckold #trans #femdom #erotica)

Thirds: A Leather and Lace Collection is an altogether lovely little anthology, consisting of three interconnected short stories. All taking place within the same hotel, over the same night, characters come and go, taking us from one story to another. J.B. Rogers has really done something special here, taking things to the next level.

The first story, Just Peachy, introduces us to a hunky escort by the name of Kevin. I loved the interplay with his client - a wealthy older woman, way out of his league, who just wants to be used hard. The arrival of her husband on the scene is a pleasant surprise, and the transition to bisexual exploration is fantastic, especially with the little romantic touches.

Strictly Business follows that client, Joanna, as she seeks out a replacement lover for her otherwise occupied gigolo. What initially seems to be a simple story of a hotel hookup ends up adding two sexy layers, first as her erotic past is exposed, and then as a voyeuristic element takes center stage.

The final story, Room Service, finds its connection through a hotel employee named Stacy. Not surprisingly, this was my favorite story in the collection, a romantic slice of erotica involving a crossdressing husband's first public outing, his crossdressing wife, and the woman who dominates them both. There is so much gender bending fun here that it is almost overwhelming, but Rogers keeps it all straight (so to speak).

If you have yet to read J.B. Rogers, then Thirds: A Leather and Lace Collection is a wonderful place to begin. And, if you are already a fan, it is a delicious helping of the storytelling talents you already know and love.

Under The Poms by Claire Bear & Courtney Captisa

Alternately cute and creepy, Under The Poms is another winner from the intertwined pens of Claire Bear & Courtney Captisa. It was so not what I expected, and that is part of what made it so much fun.

Mark Brown is a newbie with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), sick of boring office work, and anxious to get out into the field. When his chance comes, it turns out to come with a heavy price - although he is not allowed to know how heavy until it's too late. When he awakes in the hospital after a minor booster shot, he finds he has been transformed into a sweet, 16-year-old cheerleader by the name of Kimberly.

I liked that Mark was never a crossdresser and never had any trans leanings. This is all new and entirely unwanted to him. I also like that he struggled so much with it, fighting the FIA at every turn, and really being an angry, sullen, hormonal, resentful teenager. There is no immediate or magical acceptance here, just a slow learning process 'encouraged' by his boss - who seems to enjoy the over-the-knee spankings just a bit too much. When he does finally start to cope, finding real friendship at cheerleader camp, it is only to come home to face another blow to his now-fragile ego.

Being the first part of the tale, Under The Poms never quite gets into the reality of his mission, but it makes for a lovely set-up that establishes the characters and hints at some interesting developments for the next chapter.

Eight Days in Japan as a Girl by Zoe S. Figueroa

I have very quickly become a fan of Zoe S. Figueroa's work, marked as it is by an appreciation for the flexibility of gender roles, and an understanding of gender politics. There is so much thought, emotion, and passion to those stories that they are satisfying on multiple levels.

Eight Days in Japan as a Girl may just be Zoe’s best yet, a romantic adventure that works as a gender transformation tale, a romance, and a cultural travelogue. Really, if you read this for nothing else, the tour of Japan is a wonderful read all on its own, but it is not just a travelogue, it is a Gender Transformation Travelogue, and that is where the magic comes in.

During one of the first nights of their vacation, Melissa introduces Shahin to an old boyfriend, a biotech researcher working on an advanced treatment for sex affirmation. Neither Nico nor Shahin is transgender, but Melissa knows they share a secret fantasy. Shahin has always wanted to experience life as a woman, while Nico has always wanted to be with a man who has been put in the body of a woman. It is not about the act of transformation or any sort of gender dysphoria, but an intellectual curiosity about the dichotomy of conflicting genders. It is a novel approach to gender, and I liked how the story was able to explore the experience itself.

Once transformed, Melissa and Shahin continue with their vacation, discovering as much about her culture as they do his gender. More sensual than erotic, this is a tastefully written story that does a lovely job of contrasting their journeys, ultimately leading Melissa to appreciate the cultural heritage she tried so hard to deny in her youth.
