Freebie Fiction Friday - Putting the TG in TGIF!

Well, if it's Friday, then that must been it's time for Freebie Fiction Friday . . . time to put the 'TG' in TGIF (and the 'FD' in Friday)!

Every Friday I take the initiative to search through thew newly free titles on Amazon, and to identify those that might be of interest to trans* readers, fans, and lovers. Even if you don't have a Kindle, you can still download the titles through one of Amazon's free reading applications, and covert it (if need be) with Calibre. I can tell you I do most of my reading on my iPad, using Kindle for iPad, and it works beautifully.

Please do be sure to check the price before downloading anything, though, as most freebies are limited time offers, and some are specific to certain regions.

A pretty decent collection this week with a little something for everyone - from first time crossdressers to supernatural futanari!

Breaking Free by Cat Grant

OMG, this was one of the sexiest, most beautiful, most emotionally powerful books I have read in a very long time! Breaking Free is such a fantastic story, so beautifully told, and with such a realistic, positive approach to gender, sex, and love.

Cat Grant herself seemed a bit cautious about the transgender element in her introduction, but I think she absolutely nailed it. The physical, the mental, and the emotional development of Richard/Renee are all handled beautifully. It all begins with Richard "disappearing" inside Renee, who is described as "his sexy, dominatrix alter-ego," but it's not long before he come to accept that it's Richard who is the illusion, and Renee who is the inner reality.

What complicates matters is the fact that Richard is married to Robert, the man of his dreams. An out and proud gay couple, their life undergoes a significant upheaval with Renee's decision to begin transitioning, and Cat does an amazing job of taking an honest look at the impact such a transition can have on a relationship. It's not easy, presenting challenges that certain tug at the heartstrings, but that's life - raw, honest, and un-romanticized.

While the story could have worked very well without the subplot of Jase, their shared submissive, whom Renee fears Robert is destined to leave her for is almost unnecessary, it does allow Cat to really explore the differences between sex and love, just as she's already looking at the differences between sex and gender. It's actually quite a complex story here, with the kind of deep observations you don't always find in an erotic romance.

I loved the tentative emergence of Renee into their lives, her nervous reluctance to demand her rights in the office, and the sisterhood she creates with the women around her. In many ways, this could be considered a trans-feminist tale, but that's only another element of what is a well-rounded, well-told, well-loved romantic tale. Just beautiful . . . and oh so inspiring.

The Story of Control by Adrianna Taylor (Guest Post)

The Story of Control will stimulate your most private inner fantasies as it reveals the secret, steamy world of BDSM. The book fuses the author's experiences as a professional Dominatrix with her compelling life story . . . and we're extremely fortunate to have the author, Adrianna Taylor, stop by to share a little something personal with us.

To some people, Mark and I appear to be like a normal couple in our mid-20s, going round Asda, doing our shopping. But behind closed doors at home, life is very different, as we share a secret which Mark has always been up front with me about.  He loves cross-dressing.

To some women, this could ring alarm bells about the sexuality of their partner, a man, dressing up as a woman. It's not a common practice, and certainly not something that all women would accept. Perhaps it is something that a few years I wouldn't have accepted either, but in my work I've met many men who enjoy dressing up, but are not permitted to do so with their partner. I see it as an indulgence that my partner has, and one I can join in with. On occasions, we plan shopping trips and choose each other's outfits and, as we are the same size, we share clothes. He would like to be feminine the majority of the time, but as a happy medium he has a anodyne style for everyday going-out outfits. I have never been interested in the extremely macho men who sport beards and facial hair. This is something that I can't abide. The prickly face when you go in for a kiss is certainly not a pleasant feeling.

I have always preferred what could be described as the metrosexual type guy who takes care of himself, from colouring his hair roots regularly, to making sure he keeps his eyebrows neat. The last thing I want is to go out with some Neanderthal who does not understand the importance of personal appearance, and showers only once a month.

It has become more acceptable for men to be metrosexual, and get things like HD brows, teeth-whitening and Botox. Something that used to be common only with women.

Mark has a very submissive personality when he cross-dresses, but in general he is a submissive person anyway, and I take the reins in most aspects of our life.

Perhaps surprisingly, Mark’s and my personal life is quite conventional, and wouldn't surprise anyone. The only thing I see as a bit unusual is that he likes to dress up. But doesn't everyone like to look nice for their partner when they want to be intimate?

My sexuality could perhaps be questioned. I would say I was bisexual. I like the idea of the way women present themselves for sex and are normally well-groomed. I would not say I was a lesbian though, as having a relationship with a women is a different ball game altogether.

In general, Mark and I make his cross dressing work in our relationship, and see it as something we can have fun with. It’s not an issue that causes any problems.

I hope you enjoy reading about Mark and me.

Love Adrianna xxxx

The Story of Control by Adrianna Taylor

An eye-opening book giving a sensational insight into the secret world of a real-life young Dominatrix.

Adrianna Taylor makes no bones about the fact that she is a Dominatrix, a woman providing a service of sexual domination for those whose secret lives demand the adult age play of kinky BDSM erotica. The stories of Adrianna’s Dominatrix sessions are eye-opening, and can be both hilarious and raunchy. Yet there is another side to Adrianna, one that is far away from her sexual fantasy self, the indomitable Mistress Hallie. She is a woman of deep emotions, for whom romance and sex are fundamental and intertwined parts of a monogamous contemporary love story.

The Story of Control is not fiction. It is fact, and recounts the true story of a modern woman in an unorthodox world.

When her job as a Dominatrix becomes too much for her partner, Adrianna sees the wisdom in moving on, and heads to a fetish night at a local club. There, among the kinky erotica and sexual fantasy, she meets Suzanna, a beautiful and sophisticated woman who is also Mark, a handsome and charming photographer, by day. The two feel an immediate attraction for one another, and find solidarity in the need to keep their secret lives hidden from their families.

But even in such contemporary love stories there is strife. Romance and sex do not enter into Adrianna’s Mistress Hallie persona, but the adult age play and the sexual domination she provides can have a more lasting impact than she would like. With her gender fluid boyfriend on one hand and her self-made business on the other, will she cope?
