Last year's The Cucksitter Training introduced us to Nora, whose psychology internship with Professor Emery Hagan turned out to be a deeply immersive course in the psychology of dominance and submission. We saw Nora explore chastity, teasing & denial, humiliation, punishment, and pegging as carefully orchestrated expressions of female control. Part of what made the story so much fun was the framing, which had Nora confessing all of this to her best friend, Blanca.
With The Cucksitter Training, Too, B.J. Frazier returns to the story, but now Blanca is a trainee alongside her friend, bringing a whole new perspective and dynamic to the story. Blanca is curious where Nora was committed, cautious where her friend was enthusiastic, and she experiences some very natural doubt and hesitation that really rounds out the story. As much as I loved how Nora threw herself into the situation, watching Blanca learn alongside her, first as a team, and then as a solo practitioner - which is where both she and the book shine.
Like anything B.J. Frazier writes, this is a story that's both thoughtful and erotic. It's not just about domination, and it's not about fulfilling the fantasies of a submissive. Instead, it's a story of female power and female control, best illustrated perhaps by one of the later scenes where the Professor deliberately chooses a submissive who fights Blanca's control and expresses his doubts that she's up to the job, forcing her to get outside of her head and let her instincts and emotions lead.
There's also a wonderful theme of identity and escape in the story, with all three women assuming different names in the dungeon that allow their dominant personalities to flourish. It's like stripping away a social costume to reveal the primal figure beneath, and the subtle ways in which Blanca grows alongside Nora are wonderful to experience.
I do have a copy of The Cucksitters to read next, and I'm really curious to see how the ladies will do without the Professor watching over them.
