New Arrivals
Just two new additions to the shelves this week. First up is The Everlasting by Alix E. Harrow, a gender-swapped romantasy featuring a lady-knight and the failed soldier/struggling scholar who falls in love with her story.
Also arriving this week was a review copy of We Are Always Tender with Our Dead by Eric LaRocca, which was pitched to me as a mix of the violent, disturbing body horror of Mariana Enriquez's Our Share of Night and the dark power of Clive Barker's The Great and Secret Show.
Currently Reading
With an eye towards vacation next week, I'm trying to be proactive and get involved in a book before we leave rather than over-packing in hopes that something catches my eye. Currently on my reading list is The Splintered Sun by Tad Williams.
