New Arrivals
One can never have enough books, so I added to the Xmas haul with some Boxing Day thrift store shopping:
- The Dreaming Tree by C.J. Cherryh - as luck would have it, I was able to find the mass market paperback of the duology
- Eyes of the Dragon by Stephen King - somehow I've never read this, but for as long as I've had my eye on it, I wanted that original 1987 cover
- The Talisman by Stephen King & Peter Straub - With King having announced that Talisman 3 is complete AND it buttons up The Dark Tower saga, it's time for a reread
- Song of the Mysteries by Janny Wurts - I'm only halfway through The Wars of Light and Shadow, so this final volume will have to wait a bit, but I love having an ending to chase.
Currently Reading
Having felt burnt out by October/November last year, I really need to find a better balance between review titles and random books I just want to read. Trust No One by James Rollins is one of the former, kind of a New Adult version of his Six Sigma tales, while Jungle of Stone by William Carlsen is one of the latter, the kind of story that would be too far into pulp adventure were it not entirely true.
