Protagonist Gender: Female

Kink/Fetish: Femdom

I always look forward to a new story from Lyka Bloom, but I was not prepared for how much I'd love The Collar Club. This is a wonderfully erotic tale of a power-exchange romance that's not just trans-positive, but trans-amorous.

Mistress Carmen Nyte is co-owner of a new fetish club, but despite being surrounded by fetish and fantasy, she's frustrated by the hole left in her life by the release of her last submissive. When Elliot arrives at the club to perform a fire inspection there's an immediate connection between the two. It's a quiet, flirtatious thing, largely unspoken, but he goes home and secretly masturbates to her memory, while she boldly marches into his office and demands an address so that she can deliver a gift fit for a soon-to-be-collared sissy submissive.

There's so much I loved about this, starting with the dynamic between Mistress Carmen and Elliot, the chemistry that makes us want to see them together. I also loved that fetish and domination are such a natural part of Mistress Carmen's lifestyle (she lives and breathes kink) and that she is so eager to bring Elliot all the way into that lifestyle. I adored the natural transgender acceptance of it all, the simple celebration of gender as something worthy of love and respect, and I swooned over the way it all came together in a story that's empowering and erotic.

While there is a little bit of shame and embarrassment to the early pages of The Collar Club, it's born of self-doubt, as opposed to social condemnation. With Mistress Carmen's guidance and support, Elliot quickly moves past it and begins pursuing the life and love he's always craved most deeply. This is a Cinderella story for transgender submissives everywhere.
