Working from Home by John Dylena (crossdressing chastity pegging)

Considering how well I remember his stories, I am rather shocked that it has been so long since I last reviewed a John Dylena story. On the one hand, it is wonderful when an author's voice stays with you . . . but, on the other hand, I cannot help but feel I have been missing out!

Fortunately, we had a chance to chat last week about the joys of editing, and as a result I got an early copy of Working from Home to read. And you know what? It is just as good as I remember all his other stories being!

A big part of the charm here is the way in which Dylena encapsulates a lifetime of crossdressing experience in one man's sudden unemployment. We see David move from an awkward sort of curiosity about his girlfriend's underwear to a tentative, nervous bit of experimentation . . . which quickly progresses to full crossdressing, complete with cheap wigs and makeup. During it all, the emphasis is on the sensuality of it, the erotic attraction to the clothes, the materials, and the appearance of femininity. That arousal is so powerfully conveyed, we feel as if we are dressing alongside him.

It is the complexity of his girlfriend's discovery, though, that I felt gave the story its emotional hook. Kayla is curious, excited, aroused, and hurt at the same time. She is upset that David was dressing behind her back, hurt by him keeping secrets from her, but she genuinely enjoys taking a role in his feminization . . . and controlling his excitement through physical chastity. Her role sort of transforms the second half of the story, imbuing it with a little kink, while demonstrating how the shared experience enhances their relationship.

Working from Home was a happy, sexy, empowering read. It is an authentic exploration of erotic crossdressing that captures the thoughts and feelings beautifully, as well as a realistic fantasy of gentle femdom and assisted feminization that makes my heart sing. A wonderful read!
