Femtech Wars 3: Rise of the Fembots by Wendy Thorne (fembot scifi)

For this week's illustrated delight, I am delighted to have the opportunity to feature some more exciting titles (and artists) from Amazing Transformation Comics.

Wendy Thorne, one of the co-founders of the site, graces us once again this morning, sharing her latest bestseller, Femtech Wars

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

With A New Woman, the first volume of her Femtech Wars saga, Wendy Thorne introduced the story of a man, a fembot, and a organized resistance against the Femtech empire. Femtech Strikes Back, the second volume, continued the story by following through on the promises of gender transformation, while the newly release third volume, Rise of the Fembots, sees the new Miranda nearly finished her training and ready to destroy Femtech.

While we already know about the sex slavery of fembots and the empire's forced feminization program, the revelation about the Taylor series of fembots is a shocking one. It adds another layer of family drama to a story that already has some interesting depth, and sets up two significant confrontations once Miranda and Taylor bring their war to the empire.

As with the first two chapters, the Star Wars homage is clear here, making the story instantly familiar and yet new and original at the same time. Thorne plays with some of those familiar themes, but she changes them, subverts them, and comes at them from a different angle. She breathes different life in to her characters as well, making them her own.

Visually, the comic is once again gorgeous to behold. Miranda looks exquisite, with her body having achieved full feminization, and her hair and facial features accentuating her new appearance. There are a few early close-ups of her face, and you can just get lost in her eyes and her lips. The sci-fi settings and backdrops are perfect, and the mix of genre-appropriate and sexually-enticing costumes are used to full effect. Lighting is used to wondrous effect here, casting shadows in the extended sex scene, bathing warriors in the harsh light of their laser swords, and being filtering through the rain in a scene that is cinematic.

It definitely feels like this is a final chapter, at least for now, but there is a last panel that will make readers smile.

Wendy Thorne, also known as WendyTheRed, has been creative ever since she was a child. As she got older that creative side expressed itself in writing and drawing but it wasn't until she started doing 3D renders that her creativity truly flourished. Wendy’s comics tend to focus on total transformations that are generally accomplished through science fiction and fantasy means. She will also have elements of BDSM and mind control in her comics as well.
