My Lesbian College Love by Daniela R. Lovejoy (erotica genderswap lesbian)

Daniela R. Lovejoy's latest story is another example of how you can be kinky and erotic and imaginative within a genderswap story, and yet still make room for character development and dramatic narrative. I love that she never just hops into bed, but establishes relationships first, allowing friendships to realistically develop into something more.

My Lesbian College Love opens with a scene familiar to so many of us, that of the anxious courting of a beautiful woman at a bar - and her polite but firm dismissal. What makes this scene different is the intrusion of a weird girl, beautifully described as "a clash between a goth and a hippie," who gives Tom a magical stone heart. He doubts her promise that it will give him a chance at dating the blonde beauty, but follows her instructions and, after a night of weirdly erotic dreams, wakes to find himself a woman.

This is as much a coming out story as a friends-to-lovers romance, and the way the relationship between Tom/Tina and Natalie develops is the real joy here. The conversations, the awkward moments, the hints and suggestions of something more, it is all wonderful. And then, just when you think Daniela is going to propel them into the sexy stuff, she throws the reader a curve and explores a heartfelt night of doubt and second-guessing that was just beautiful.

No worries, there is (of course) sexy stuff to be found in My Lesbian College Love, and it is all the more sweet for having to wait. Another lovely tale of making the most of a magical situation.

Born and living in the Northwest near beautiful nature with both forest and coast with in walking distance, Daniela likes to wander in those surroundings when the weather allows it. She enjoys the fresh air, and it gives her mind space to let new ideas flow. When not writing, she loves to cuddle up with a book or watch a TV series or hang out with her friends and family.
