One of the other things she does so well is pull the threads of fantasy from the fabric of nightmare, and that brings us to Bimbo for the Boss: A Gender Swap Dark Romance.
Milo and Todd are rivals, passed over for promotion, who hatch a plot to catch the new boss in a compromising position and blackmail her out of the job. It is Todd who is the misogynistic instigator here, taking advantage of Milo's disappointment to lead him astray, but neither are innocents when it comes to intent. What throws a kink into their plans, however, is Milo's fetish for dominant women . . . and Morgan's delight in ruining all their plans by taking advantage of him in an entirely different way.
While some readers may feel Milo is a little too accepting of the boss' extra equipment, he is already under her spell when it is revealed, and she hardly gives him a chance to refuse. His genuine submission is what makes the whole story work, putting the 'romance' into the title, and had it ended there, between the two of them, that would have been a lovely story all on its own. Instead, it is Morgan's knack for hypnosis that gives the story its 'dark' edge, and the way she draws both men into her web that makes it so deeply fulfilling. There is some cruelty involved in becoming Bimbo for the Boss, and there is a definite fight against her concept of revenge, but Lyka always manages to twist a happy ending . . . no matter the cost.
Lyka Bloom lives and works in Tennessee as a technical writer. She has always enjoyed the exploration of fantasies, from the mundane to the kinky, generally revolving around hypnosis, mind control and transformation.
