Swap Festival by M.C. Questgend (genderswap thriller)

Swap Festival represents a bit of a departure for M.C. Questgend, a story that is more fantasy than reality, shifting away from crossdressing and transsexualism and into the realm of gender-swapping transformation and mind-control.

The title itself is a bit of a red herring, a tease that leads you to assume answers or explanations that do not even come close to the truth, and I loved that about it. I kept waiting for the cliché of a kinky, magical fairground to be revealed, but the supernatural aspect was a welcome surprise. But that is all I will say on that note, because discovery is half the fun.

I have always loved M.C.'s writing, but here she has some wonderfully strange, bestial descriptions that stuck with me.
"she toyed with me like a lion with a fresh kill"
"the pain intensified as did her scent"
"eyes that looked nothing like human eyes"
The transformation scenes here are detailed and realistic in the pain and the stress on the body; the uncontrollable lust is a nice aspect; the sexual sort of mind-control is fantastic. There is a great mystery to the story, some over-the-top erotica, and a dark thriller that pulls it all together. Do not get complacent, because this is probably not going where you expect, but prepare to be delighted by where (and how) it does end up.

Born in 1971, M.C. Questgend traveled the country with his parents as a military brat. Settling in Texas where he was first introduced to alternative lifestyles, he was able to finish high school and continue his new "hobby" in college. After college, he and "she" returned to start a family, but the strain of his "secret" was too much for his now ex-wife. Married a second time was not the answer, so M.C. has transferred the stress to the pen and keyboard. Writing erotic stories - some loosely based on his and "her" life as well as stories involving aspects of the LGBT community, a community and lifestyle he has come to privately embrace. M.C. Questgend is a pen name used to protect his privacy and anonymity. The intent was to write stories that entertain, inspire and motivate - which are as much sensual and heartwarming as they are sexual and explicit.
