Identity Abduction by M.C. Questgend (crossdressing thriller)

Coming out to friends or family as transgender carries with it stresses, anxieties, and fears that most people will never have to face. And, as if rejection were not bad enough, the threat of exposure carries with it a whole new world of pain. When that rejection and exposure opens the door to blackmail, an Identity Abduction is only the start of Eddie's problems.

M.C. Questgend has crafted a dark, trippy story that leaves the reader spinning, never knowing what to expect next. She does such a fantastic job with all the betrayals, I kept getting lulled into thinking things were finally going to be okay, only to be genuinely surprised by the next double-cross. It is a horrible situation Eddie finds himself in, trapped in a foreign country, all alone, with no identity or legal standing, leaving him at the mercy of strangers. It is extreme, over-the-top even, but once you come to understand how it happened and why, the cleverness of it all is chilling.

There are erotic moments here, definitely of the dubious consent variety, but they have a role to play in the larger story. Every action here has a consequence, and no deed goes unpunished. It is a story full of blackmail, domination, humiliation, and more. As the circle of villains keeps expanding, any hope for Eddie's successful transition back to normal life keeps shrinking. If you know M.C. Questgend, then you know her stories are always character-driven, and that motivations are often more important that actions. Keep that in mind, and the final twists will not only validate Eddie's struggles, but they will satisfy your darkest dreams . . . or nightmares, as the case may be.

Even knowing the basic framework, and having chatted over some of the details, reading through the final draft of Identity Abduction still got my heart racing.

Born in 1971, M.C. Questgend traveled the country with his parents as a military brat. Settling in Texas where he was first introduced to alternative lifestyles, he was able to finish high school and continue his new "hobby" in college. After college, he and "she" returned to start a family, but the strain of his "secret" was too much for his now ex-wife. Married a second time was not the answer, so M.C. has transferred the stress to the pen and keyboard. Writing erotic stories - some loosely based on his and "her" life as well as stories involving aspects of the LGBT community, a community and lifestyle he has come to privately embrace. M.C. Questgend is a pen name used to protect his privacy and anonymity. The intent was to write stories that entertain, inspire and motivate - which are as much sensual and heartwarming as they are sexual and explicit.
