Much to my delight, she has chosen to return to the world of The Pink Institute series with Pink Origins: The First Tale of the Institute. A fantastic period piece of erotic fiction, it captures the atmosphere, the history, and the culture of 1930s Tawny Valley beautifully. The setting mandates a low-key, low-tech approach to mind control and feminization, and that puts more of a focus on the people and the personalities.
Before there was Lady B and the Pink Institute, there was Madame Bea and her Companion Club, an exclusive dance club and a very private brothel featuring women of a unique nature. There are two parallel stories here, the first involving a gentleman who very much wants to become a mind controlled, feminized sissy, and a couple who are looking to find him . . . a search that seems destined to put them on a course for a far more unwilling transformation.
The first story, that of Winton/Winnie is so very well done, and so different from what readers might be expecting. We see evidence of how much old-fashioned feminization has drained him, weakened him, and left him weary and confused. Once fully transformed, we see how dependent he has become on pleasing others, especially Madame Bea. That of Dexter Banks may be even more interesting, as he is a complex character, full of shady secrets and motivations, and given to old-fashioned aggression, who is not above threatening people to achieve his ends.
Pink Origins is a wonderful story, told with flair, offering something unique - and uniquely entertaining - for readers old and new.
