The Suburban Wives Club by Damien Dsoul

As the holiday come to an end, I find myself looking back at all the stories I somehow never got to, and feeling horribly guilty about it . . . so this week I am continuing to tackle the review pile from the bottom, catching up on my oldest reads, and doing my best to celebrate them as they deserve.

The Suburban Wives Club is an erotic concept. It is the story of five horny housewives who make a pact to share their black lovers, cuckolding their husbands in the process. Damien Dsoul works a lot of fantasies and fetishes into the story, taking it to places I dared not hope it would go, and does it with genuine narrative flair.

Before we get into the kink, though, I need to say a few words about the storytelling. This is a full-length novel with real character building, relationships, romance, drama, and tension. Were it not for the cuckolding aspects, I could honestly see this on the shelf of any major bookstore, alongside other works of dramatic fiction, and suspect it would sell very well. It is a quality read, told with real literary skill, and you do not often get than in the genre.

For me, there were two couples who made the story's heart beat. The first is Gail and Horace, an experienced cuckold couple, who we first meet while she is enjoying morning sex with her black lover, and he waiting for the moment he can lie down between her legs and lick her clean. There is no force or coercion, no humiliation or degradation, just a loving couple who have found an unusual way to open up their marriage. Gail is only sexually interested in black men, while Horace is happily submissive to both his wife and her lovers, taking care of their needs before, during, and after sex.

The second couple at the heart is Jolene and Marty, curious wannabes who find themselves secretly seduced into the lifestyle, independent of one another. I loved how genuine they seemed, and how realistic their responses to each new revelation and development were. Here we see a couple move from incredulity and disgust, to guilty curiosity, to anxious excitement, and glorious fulfillment. They are worried about what the other will think, and concerned for what cuckolding might do to their marriage. This is not some clichéd tale of instant cuckold submission, but a careful exploration and how and why a couple might come to such a role.

As for the cuckolding, it is absolutely glorious. The black bulls are big, bold, and brash, naturally dominant and forceful in their use of these horny hotwives. Their sex is raunchy and raw, and Damien Dsoul does a superb job of making us understand why women would crave such attention. The husbands are all at different stages in their own submission, from reluctant fluffers to hungry creampie connoisseurs. Marty has the most interesting journey here, and his introduction to cuckold submission at the end of a black Mistress' leash is probably my favorite part of the book.

Not only is The Suburban Wives Club a satisfyingly long novel, but it is well-written and robust enough to never get tired or repetitive. The characters keep it moving, and our emotional investment in Jolene and Marty holds us close, right to the very end.

DAMIEN DSOUL is a certifiable sex fiend with a cursed sense of imagination. He's a black bastard who loves taking long walks, admiring lovely women, and then locking himself up in his room and putting thoughts to words.
