I have had several readers ask when they might see more comics, graphic novels, and illustrated stories featured on the site, so I hooked up with Amazing Transformation Comics to bring you some pre-holiday delights.
Wendy Thorne, one of the co-founders of the site, graciously agreed to stop by this morning for an interview to get things started. Now, without further ado, please allow me to introduce you to her latest comic, Experiments In Femininity.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
For starters, let me talk a bit about the size and format of Experiments In Femininity, because I think that it all part of the appeal. This is a 111 page comic, which makes it short enough to be enjoyed in a single sitting, but long enough to give you your money's worth. As for the format, it is presented in a landscape orientation that allows each page to fill the screen, eliminating the back-and-forth scrolling of a traditional comic (which always irks me).
Second, let me talk a bit about the illustrations because, after all, that is the primary appeal of a comic as opposed to a short story. Visually, this is an absolutely gorgeous comic. Wendy Thorne demonstrates an impressive attention to detail, with one early page in particular that made me appreciate that this was a professional effort. That page features a close-up of Seth's face (with the rest of the scene slightly out focus), and we can see his freckles, his blemishes, and even the shadows between his teeth. Once you start looking for details, you realize every page is full of them, with little things like shadows and reflections adding life and depth to the scene. Some of the backgrounds do look a little stark, but they are often contrasted with things like carefully wrinkled bed sheets that draw you eye to what is important.
As for the characters, the human figures of the story, they are exceptionally well done. They look, pose, and move like real people. Their clothes hang the way you would expect, and their facial expressions speak volumes. In fact, the only minor flaw I could find was that a pivotal cumshot that looked a little too thick, but still erotically placed and contoured to give the feeling of a dripping face and breasts.
In terms of story, this was a lot of fun, with a great set-up of who Seth is and why he wants to change (he is socially awkward, has glasses, wears plaid pants and a polo shirt with a pocket protector, and walks with crutches); some nice moments of dramatic tension ("error encountered . . . attempting fixes" and "last time it fixed me, this time it'll improve me" both weigh heavy upon the reader); and a great overall progression of Seth's feminization (from healing, to hair growth, to budding breasts, and beyond). I loved the way Wendy teased out Seth's true intentions regarding Penny, and I thought the way Danny reacted to his best friend's changes was entirely realistic.
For my first taste of Wendy's work (and Amazing Transformation Comics in general), Experiments In Femininity was quite impressive. I am looking forward to featuring more of the group's work in the coming weeks.
Wendy Thorne, also known as WendyTheRed, has been creative ever since she was a child. As she got older that creative side expressed itself in writing and drawing but it wasn't until she started doing 3D renders that her creativity truly flourished. Wendy’s comics tend to focus on total transformations that are generally accomplished through science fiction and fantasy means. She will also have elements of BDSM and mind control in her comics as well.
