A Living Doll by Pearl N. Lace (#dollification #erotica)

Well, this is a story that went in a direction I did not expect, and I love it for having surprised me. A Living Doll starts out as a simple story of a Halloween costume to top all others, slips into a story of gender exploration and sexual discovery, and ultimately resolves in a story of self-discovery.

Pearl N. Lace always writes such wonderful characters, which is important for a story where, for the most part, Barry is the only character. Watching him go through the process of designing his doll self, shopping for clothing, and experimenting with what it means to be a doll is just delightful. I will not spoil the ending, but I know many of us could benefit from the self-confidence and confidence provided by such a doll suit.

The masturbatory fantasies are a lot of fun, but not nearly as much as the eventual 'testing' of the doll suit's ability to pass. What starts as a quiet, subtle sort of story becomes an exceptionally sexual story of satisfaction at the end. Honestly, the opportunity to become A Living Doll would be a hard one to resist, at any price . . . especially with Barry as a guide.
Pearl N. Lace is a non-traditional transperson in the realest sense. She has lots of common sense, loves her critters, and enjoys getting back to her counter-culture roots and being her, which makes her happy.
