Human Dollification: Perfect in Plastic by Lyka Bloom

Regular benders of the bookshelf will remember very well the week we dedicated to female masking not so long ago. It was a ton of fun, with some great reads that really opened my eyes to a new facet of transgender expression. It's also a sub-genre of transgender fiction that introduced me to a more fetish-oriented offshoot, that of human dollification.

Something a little different to get us over the hump on our third day of human dollification week. While this afternoon's tale doesn't have a trans element (shocking, I know), Lyka Bloom is such a favorite, and does such a superb job with her trans tales, that I just had to include her take on dollification.

Perfect in Plastic: Three Doll Tales starts out with The Game, in which Lyka Bloom tells the story of a pair of rich dominatrixes with a fetish for living dolls, women conditioned and controlled to be the perfect plastic submissives, complete with a transparent spray that gives them the feel of plastic . . . with the rivalry between the two women leading to one becoming the other’s newest acquisition.

Artificial Enhancements is a more straightforward story, in which a rich husband, tired of his young wife’s infidelity and difficult nature, has her broken, augmented, and transformed into a perfectly obedient Dolly.

Raven and Gatling Girl Meet Madame Plastique was my favorite of the collection, with a pair of vigilante heroines who stumble upon a sex trafficking ring, only to discover there’s more than just prostitution behind it all. Madame Plastique is a fetishistic madwoman, right down to the SS-inspired black military uniform, who enjoys turning women into dolls (a process that involves injections, chemical conditioning, and brainwashing). Once both women are in he grasp, she uses one to break the other, forcing her to become perfect living Barbie.

Like I said, there's no trans element here, but Bloom knows how to tell a story, and knows how to make a fetish like human dollification somehow ever more new and exciting.
