The 18 & Over Book Blogger Follow is a weekly feature that begins on Fridays and runs through the weekend, hosted by Crystal from Reading Between the Wines and Kelly at Secrets of a Book Lover.
Q. What are you currently reading?
A. I've been burning through the reviews pretty steadily for the past two months, so I'm taking a bit of a break to read something purely for myself - Books 2 and 3 of Clive Barker's Abarat saga, Days of Magic, Nights of War (reading now) and Absolute Midnight (which is released at the end of the month).

Q. As a book blogger, how do you introduce yourself in your profile?
A. I don't really focus on a blogger profile, because I don't want the focus of my efforts to be on me - it's books (and the authors) that matter. Having said that, I recognize that authors and publishers are looking to making a connection, so my public profile on places like Goodreads and NetGalley read: My passions are curiosity, diversity, and imagination. The world is what we make of it, so why should we ever be content with what others tell us it should be? The only thing I love more than curling up with a good book is sharing one with friends and watching them fall in love.

Q. It's that pesky magic book fairy again! She has another wish: What imaginary book world would you like to make a reality?
A. Hmm, that's a tough one. I guess it would be a toss-up between the worlds of Clive Barker's Abarat or Stephen King's Dark Tower.
As always, I urge you to hop around to some new blogs, tag along with some new friends, and find some great new reviews to follow. I always find something new to delight me!

Happy Friday! I'm stopping over from the 18& Over hop, it's always nice taking a break from review books every now and then, hope you enjoy your reading! My current read is over @ Book Savvy Babe
ReplyDeleteI agree with the focus being on books rather than the blogger, however, as a reader, I have to admit that a connection with the writer is what keeps me coming back to a blog. Here’s Mine
ReplyDeleteHiya! Stopping by on 18+ blogger follow. I've not read anything by Clive, hope you're enjoying it.

New Follower! Have a nice weekend!!
This week’s Book Blogger Hop really threw me a curveball.
ReplyDeleteThat’s because I don’t call myself a book blogger. I never even considered myself a book blogger. Sure I blog about books and book-related topics week after week. But for some reason I never saw the label of “book blogger” applying to me.
If you’re wondering why then please hop on over to my blog and find out – http://www.howardsherman.net

ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by.
Thanks for participating, have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI need to stop and read something for myself. Sometimes reviewing seems like a job, but I love it! Thanks for participating!
