Monday In My Mailbox - What Are You Reading?

In My Mailbox and It's Monday, What are you Reading are weekly memes hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren, Sheila at Book Journey. Both are great ways to share the books you're either reading, or shifting to the top of your TBR pile (because, let's face it, sometimes a little shifting is the best we can manage!).

No purchases this week, but a few new books for review, including Whatnots And Doodads by Stacey Kennedy, The Paradise Prophecy by Robert Browne, and Pulse of Heroes by A. Jacob Sweeny.

Whatnots And Doodads    The Paradise Prophecy   Pulse of Heroes (Volume 1)

As always, I'm generally hopping between books as the mood grabs me. Teasing me for time and seducing my attentions this week are:

The Fossil Hunter by Shelley Emling (call it feminist paleontology!)
Moonglow by Charlie Romo (just starting this one . . . sounds like a fun read)
Tango: My Childhood, Backwards and in High Heels by Justin Vivian Bond (so excited to have an early peek into this one)
The Hairdresser of Harare by Tendai Huchu (a really interesting read from Zimbabwe)
When Women Were Warriors by Catherine M. Wilson (a thoughtful fantasy tale about what it means to be a hero and a woman)

The Fossil Hunter: Dinosaurs, Evolution, and the Woman Whose Discoveries Changed the World   MOONGLOW   Tango: My Childhood, Backwards and in High Heels   The Hairdresser of Harare   When Women Were Warriors Book I

Well, that's it for now . . . what are you reading?

  3. "The Husband" here from Hippies, Beauty, and Books. Your mailbox looks about as full as my wife's. I tease her constantly that we are going to have to give away some of her books because we don't have room for any more book shelves. But then I get "the look." I'm sure you understand what I mean. That look that makes husbands and men very afraid.

Hippies, Beauty, and Books. Oh My!
