Q. Have you ever read a book that just had too much sex in it?

A. Is such a thing even possible? Seriously, I think authors today recognize the need to wrap their sex in a story, although I sometimes find there's too much vanilla sex . . . I do like it a little wild and kinky!

Q. What’s the LONGEST book you’ve ever read?

A. I'd have to guess the expanded edition of Stephen King's The Stand or Tom Clancy's Executive Orders . . . both are in the 1200 page range, if I remember correctly.

Q. If you could write yourself a part in a book, what book would it be and what role would you play in that book?

A. I would write myself into Clive Barker's Imajica, as the androgynous, bisexual, shapeshifting assassin (redeemed, of course) Pie 'Oh' Pah. Pie is a mystif, a magical creature that is neither male nor female, but rather a projection of whatever his/her subject/target desires most when they are together. Clive has described Pie as "the emotional center of the book" and that's precisely what makes the role so appealing . . . the sense of magic, discovery, and redemption that drives the tale.
