Hops, Follows, and Tag Alongs, Oh My!

The 18 & Over Book Blogger Follow is a weekly feature that begins on Fridays and runs through the weekend, hosted by Crystal from Reading Between the Wines and Kelly at Secrets of a Book Lover.

Q. What pre-release book are you most anticipating?

A. Right now it's Chloe Thurlow's The Secret Life of Girls that has my anticipation passions stoked.

It's time for another Book Blogger Hop, courtesy of Crazy for Books!

Q. Let’s talk crazy book titles! Highlight one or two (or as many as you like!) titles in your personal collection that have the most interesting titles! If you can’t find any, feel free to find one on the internet?

A. A few on my immediate to-read list are Whatnots And Doodads, Alice in Shtuppingland, and Cthulhurotica, but the Bizarro line of fiction is great for weird titles, such as Love in the Time of Dinosaurs,
Uncle Sam’s Carnival of Copulating Inanimals, and (the role-playing geekette in me loves this one) The Kobold Wizard’s Dildo of Enlightenment +2.

It's also time for the Friday Follow, courtesy of Parajunkee's View!

Q. How has your reading habits changed since you were a teen? or If you are still a teen what new genres are you in love with currently?

A. To be honest, my tastes haven't changed. I was into adult/mature fiction in elementary school, and I've never really looked back. I was reading King (Stephen), Koontz (Dean), Kerr (Katherine), and Kay (Guy Gavriel) while the kids around me were still struggling with illustrated novellas for young adults. I've probably slipped more erotica into my shelves over the years (although, again, it was creeping in long before it probably should have), but I still enjoy the same books I enjoyed those un-numbered years ago.

As always, I urge you to hop around to some new blogs, tag along with some new friends, and find some great new reviews to follow. I always find something new to delight me!

  2. I easily came up with five crazy book titles just by taking a fast look at my bookshelf.

All five come from the same book series. Can you guess which series it is?

Here’s a hint – The book series is a trilogy in five parts.

Hop on over to my blog for the answer – http://www.howardsherman.net

  4. I was the same way, I never read teen books or anything like that. I was always ahead of all of the other kids in reading ability and I LOVED a good murder myster (and still do!). Oh and thanks, the "Dildo of Enlightenment" book title made me spit out my drink; my husband was wondering what the heck I was laughing about!

  6. Some of those book titles are just wow. The Kobold Wizards's Dildo of Enlightenment really made me laugh. The book description itself was hilarious. Great picks!
