Top Ten Tuesdays - Dynamic Duos

Top Ten Tuesday is an weekly meme hosted by Lori, over at The Broke and the Bookish (love that title - it sooo explains my credit card statement!). Each week participants list their Top Ten choices for a weekly theme. This week's theme is: Top Ten Dynamic Duos!

So, without further ado (and in no particular order), here is my Top Ten:

1. Buffy and Willow (Buffy the Vampire Slayer . . . TV, books, or comics)
2. Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson (The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes)
3. Frodo and Sam (Lord of the Rings)
4. Xena and Gabriel (okay, so this is a TV show . . . I'm OK with that!)
5. Fafhrd and the Grey Mouser (the Lankhmar saga)
6. Elric and Moonglum (Chronicles of the Last Emperor of Melniboné)
7. Tarma and Kethry (Vows of Honour series)
8. Batman and Robin (this comic book versions, of course!)
9. Calvin and Hobbes (from the greatest, sweetest, smartest comic strip ever written)
10. Rincewind and Twoflower . . . and the Luggage (the Discworld series)

Time of Your Life (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Season 8, Vol. 4) (Paperback)     Xena Warrior Princess - Season Four     The Oathbound (Vows and Honor, Book 1)

Okay, so the last one is kind of a cheat, but since it's more a passing of the torch from Twoflower to the Luggage, I'm counting it as a duo! :)

  2. I can get behind a lot of this, but All Star Batman and Robin needs to be killed with fire. It's so terrible. Read Morrison's Batman and Robin, read the old school stuff by Denny O'Neil, read Batman Inc., Red Robin and Batgirl or watch B:tAS. Please don't read Miller making an asshole of himself.

  3. It's been years since I read the Tarma and Kethry books. They were great!
