This week's question is:
"If you find a book that looks interesting but is part of a series, do you always start with the first title?"
For review purposes, almost always (I have read the occasional middle volume, but I've found the review always suffers from being ignorant of what's come before), and for pure reading pleasure, absolutely always (I've let books sit on my shelf for years while I try to find the first volumes of the series).

This week's question is:
What is your usual monthly book budget?
Honestly, my budget is one of those arbitrary, unrealstic numbers that rarely gets much real world attention. I might set aside $25 for the month, but let me drive by a used bookstore that I've never seen before . . . out comes the MasterCard to beat that budget into submision!

ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog! I'm so glad I'm not the only one who has books on my shelf waiting to be read until I can find the first book in the series!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
"out comes the MasterCard to beat that budget into submission!"
ReplyDeleteLOL! Yup, I know exactly what you mean. Being a book addict is tough.
Happy FF!
Good Morning Sally!
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday.
I'm doing all three of the Friday blog runs. I don't limit myself to budget with books. I just love to read and write so that line is always doable for me. And Yes, I love start a series at the 1st book.
Just stopping by on the hop to wish you a happy weekend :)

Romance Book Junkies
Hi there! Just hoppin' on by. <3 I'm a new follower! :D
ReplyDeleteMy book budget is $0! I'm a poor college student, so I only borrow books from the library or read in Barnes and Noble while hogging their air conditioning. :)
Kristina @ Frazzled Book Nommer. Have a good weekend! <3
Thanks for stopping by my blog. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by through the hop! My book budget is a min. of $25 because then I get free shipping (good excuse right?). However, if I end up at a half-priced books store all budgets are out the window. It's the only impulse I can't seem to control -- buying books, and oh yeah, needing my latte. I'm a huge grump when denied either.

Thanks for stopping by my blog, just hopping back! I have never been game enough to set myself a book budget - that way I can never feel guilty if I break it ;) Some months I buy a -lot- of books, other months I might only buy 1 or 2. I can't resist a good sale though! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteHey! Thanks for the comment and follow :) You have a wonderful site here as well and I'll defintiely be following you too!

We share blogspot themes!! :D
ReplyDeleteHow fun. I always always start a series from the beginning, even if I have to swap books in the middle of a read, or delay borrowing one from the library.
