Hallow's Eve by Troy King

Take an established couple, a very well-developed relationship of female domination and forced feminization, and sprinkle in a little supernatural fun . . . and you have Hallow's Eve by Troy King. This latest tale of Mistress Minerva and her forcibly feminized husband follows up on the events of The Punishment and its sequel.

Like the first two tales (which you don't need to read first to enjoy this), Hallow's Eve is another wonderful story of BDSM and forced feminization within the bounds of a loving, monogamous marriage. I love the amount of detail here, and the sensuality of their relationship. King really lets us feel the admiration and appreciation of Minerva as both wife and Mistress.

The dialogue here is fantastic as well, full of friendly, loving banter that manages to exquisitely portray dominance and submission within the bounds of a 'normal' relationship, and all without sounding too fantastic or artificial. There's no playacting or roleplaying here, just a couple who enjoy the power exchange as much as they enjoy each other's company.

The sudden shift to supernatural fantasy in the second half is all the more startling because of that casual opening, with a little exhibitionist sex in the cemetery leading to a standoff between Minerva and a demoness. I won't say any more about that, at risk of spoiling the magic, but Troy King deserves a lot of credit for so seamlessly blending such fantastic elements with such a realistic tale. I loved Hallow's Eve, and can't wait to see what's next for Minerva and her subbie hubby.
