"Waiting On" Wednesday - The Diviner by Melanie Rawn

"Waiting On" Wednesday spotlights upcoming releases that everyone's excited about (created by Jill at Breaking The Spine.)

The one book that I absolutely cannot wait to get my pretty little hands on this week is:

The DivinerThe Diviner by Melanie Rawn: Bestselling author Melanie Rawn's triumphant return to high fantasy. The only survivor of royal treachery that eliminates his entire family, Azzad al-Ma'aliq flees to the desert and dedicates himself to vengeance. With the help of the Shagara, a nomadic tribe of powerful magicians, he begins to take his revenge-but at a terrible cost to himself.
It's been 14 years since Melanie's last foray into epic fantasy (The Mageborn Traitor), with only a pair of urban fantasies (Spellbinder & Fire Raiser) to tide us over in the meantime. While The Diviner isn't the long-awaited third entry in the Exiles series, it is the long-promised prequel to her absolutely gorgeous cooperative effort, The Golden Key, written with Jennifer Roberson and Kate Elliott.
To be honest, I don't care whether it's a sequel, a prequel, or something new - I'm just ecstatic to have one of my favourite women in fantasy back on my bookshelves.
