I jumped all over A...Thanks for stopping by, Sami!

I jumped all over Annabel when it was first released last fall. While I admired the writing, and I have better appreciated Kathleen's approach through some of the interviews she's done since, I can't say I realy enjoyed it. The story and the characters were just a little too cold and emotionless for me.

Original review

Further musingsSally Bibraryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10380766673885084474noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1456860217724843146.post-55081356601336693422011-01-17T13:38:29.283-05:002011-01-17T13:38:29.283-05:00I noticed your "Expression Gender Identity&qu...I noticed your "Expression Gender Identity" reading challenge and I was wondering if you've heard of or read Annabel by Kathleen Winter. I just saw it at B & N today but haven't read it yet. It's about a child who is born without distinct sex organs and how hir (we really need a gender neutral pronoun that's not "it") family/community decides to raise Annabel. Apparently it's a bestseller in Canada where the author is from and the book is set.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1456860217724843146.post-34567076877414912022011-01-17T12:12:49.691-05:002011-01-17T12:12:49.691-05:00Niiiice!!
