I'm actually tempted to just put it aside and see if his new one is any better.

Goodkind definitely had a lull in the middle of his series, but the first three books are AMAZING, and the last few are fantastic as well. Can't wait for his new one this summer.Sally Bibraryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10380766673885084474noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1456860217724843146.post-52150971946938414872011-06-12T04:46:34.630-04:002011-06-12T04:46:34.630-04:00*sigh* AMAZING post!!! I love fantasy, and definitely don't read enough of it!!!--I think my favorite, hands down is Tamora Pierce!

There are so many times that I've wandered the fantasy isles of my book store and felt so daunted--Where to start?--It seems like every series I look at is already ten books in--which can be super expensive if you want to read the whole thing at once!--But I don't want to start a series with only one or two books, either, because then it's such a long wait for more...

I've been watching Game of Thrones on HBO, and now I totally want to pick up the series!

--I picked up the Sword of Truth books after watching the Legend of the Seeker series, and had to stop watching the series--but LOVED the books!

Also, I just picked up The Lord of the Rings (all 3) for my Nook--I started the series once before, but I was reading Harry Potter at the same time and had trouble diving into LotR--It's such a benchmark for epic fantasy, that it's nice to hear other people hit rough patches with it, too--But that it's worth it!!!

Again, AWESOME post!!! --Am always looking for good recommendations!!! :)

(\__/)nymfauxnymfauxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01573887455015014792noreply@blogger.com
