Mailbox Monday, What I'm Reading, and What's Beside my Bed

In My Mailbox, It's Monday, What are you Reading, and What's Beside Your Bed are weekly memes hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren, Sheila at Book Journey, and Nanny at Getting Naughty Between the Stacks. Both are great ways to share the books you're either reading, or shifting to the top of your TBR pile (because, let's face it, sometimes a little shifting is the best we can manage!).

A few new books for review this week - Chains and Chocolate by Bonnie Bliss, TASH by Hilde Orens, Red Gods by James A. Finan, and Red Satin Christmas by Giselle Renarde.

As always, I'm generally hopping between books as the mood grabs me. Teasing me for time and seducing my attentions from beside my bed this week are:

11/22/63 by Stephen King (I wasn't sure about the concept, but I'm loving it - especially the way in which he's revisited the kids from town of Derry, circa Pennywise and the kids from IT)
The Fairy Godmother by Mercedes Lackey (call it the Once Upon a Time factor . . . the more I watch it, the more I want to immerse myself in fairy tale retellings)

Well, that's it for now . . . what are you reading?

  1. I love fairytale retellings. I just started watching Once upon a time, still not sure whats going on. I also really like the show called Grimm.

  5. I'm definitely in a Once upon a Time mood as well, but I'm not sure when I'm not in that mood.

I really liked Fairy Godmother but I couldn't finish the sequel, wondering what you think of that one.

  6. It's been ages since I've read a Mercedes Lackey book. I had another quiet week of reading. School and nanowrimo are eating up a lot of my spare reading time. Please come see what I'm reading.

  7. 11/22/63 is high on my to-read list. They're holding for me at the library, but the page count is daunting! I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying it so far :-D
